it all started with my uncle's mercedes S600 that ran like a dream one day and flat out didnt run the other 6 days, everytime the car's hood was open i had to take a peek especially since the hood rested vertically which helped you access the engine compartment from 3 sides, the german complexity threw me off especially when compared to my dad's 86 celica which had a spacious work area under its hood and a much smaller I6 when compared to the s600's beast of a V12, ever since i was always messing with junkyard cars and watching people work on their own cars in our condensed town.
